Try out Firefox 3, Gran Paradiso

20 09 2007

Firefox 3 is shaping up to be a real mean browsing machine. The team has added a whole slew of amazing new features. While Firefox 2 was more of a big update, Firefox 3 (or codename Gran Paradiso) is shaping up to be a real makeover. It is really great to try out all the new features and play around, plus then you’ll be ready when the first stable release comes around in October. The easiest way to download it is through download site Softpedia. And don’t forget to report bugs!

Get The Simpsons theme for firefox

7 08 2007

In celebration of the release of the new Simpsons movie, 20th century fox has released a donut-filled, yellow and pink Firefox theme. While the theme is geared towards the German release of the film, it has no signs of being so. Its really fun and reminds me of the Mario theme. It feels good using something besides just a different icon set with gray brushed metal. It’s colorful and makes you feel good, especially if you’re a Simpsons fan.

Foxmarks revamps its online acess

30 07 2007

The Bookmarks syncing extension Foxmarks has recently redone its online access site my. foxmarks.com. It’s full of great features like previews and two view modes that I think really beats the pants off of Google bookmarks.

“You can add, delete, and modify bookmarks, folders and separators. You can use drag-n-drop to move things around. You can search your bookmarks in a way that we (in all humility) suggest is better than anything else out there. And there’s a “grid” view that allows you to see all of your bookmarks in a flat list, sorted in any way you choose.”

To use it, just go to my.foxmarks.com and sign in with your account.
